Keith Ward (Piano/Vocals)
With his heartfelt lyrics and fresh, engaging melodies, New York based singer songwriter Keith Ward has been redefining piano based pop. He recently collaborated with Mike Chiavaro and Jared Schonig to create his third studio album, Take It From Me. The new record features Jared Schonig on Drums ,Mike Chiavaro on bass. It was produced by Ward at Justin King’s Vinegar Hill Sound in Brooklyn, NY. Over the past 5 years The Keith Ward Trio has played some of the most popular clubs in the New York City and Europe. Venues that have hosted Keith solo and with his trio include The Bitter End, The Bowery Ballroom, Sullivan Hall, Prohibition, The Marriott Marquis in Times Square, The Living Room and The Red Lion. In London he has performed at the legendary songwriter venue, The Half Moon Putney, The Bowery London and The Troubadour.
Ward’s music has been featured in the film “Viola” which recently captured a Golden Palm Award at the Mexican International Film Festival, 2011.
Mike Chiavaro (Bass)
Mike can be found playing all over New York City with groups such as Bell, Burlap to Cashmere, The Christine Hagan Project, Keith Ward, and Rude Jackson. He has worked with a line-up of legendary producers including Phil Ramone (Paul Simon, Bill Joel), Jack Douglas (Aerosmith, John Lennon), Brian Harding (Jennifer Lopez, Dream Theater), Anthony J. Resta (Collective Soul, Duran Duran), Anthony Winters, and John Hill. A graduate of the Eastman School of Music, Mike has also performed and/or recorded with Danielle Evin, Nell Bryden, Rose Falcon, Dave Truet's Clarify, Paul Cox, Megumi Kanda, and Bob America. Mike endorses Ashdown Amplifiers.
Jared Schonig (Drums)
Jared Schonig is currently a resident of Brooklyn, New York. Originally from Los Angeles, CA, Jared graduated from the Eastman School of Music (Rochester, NY) in 2005. Shortly after graduating, he moved to New York and perfomed weekly at the famed Tavern-on-the-Green with the Dave Guidice Trio. He currently plays with the Brenda Earle Group, Jack Donahue, Julie Hardy, the Dan Loomis Quartet, Brian Vanarsdale Quintet, and more. Aside from jazz, he continues to perform with pop-rock pianist Keith Ward, and the power-quintet Thought. He has performed on albums released by Trier Records, Jazz Excursion Records, BluJazz, and Nagel-Heyer Record Label. Most recently Jared can be found playing drums and percussion on some of Broadway's most successful musicals. He has performed on "American Idiot" with Green Day's Billy Joe Armstrong, Grease and Wicked to name a few.
